TGIF: Miscellaneous Edition

Hello and welcome to....

I was supposed to have a guest post this week, but I guess she forgot, and I never got around to giving her a reminder, so....here were are!

I have been pretty busy in blogland, and I guess I still am.

There was my botched blogoversary post on Monday. Tuesday was Did You Know? for May, which I had the Coffee Lovin' Mom help me out with. My husband Mark wrote his first ever blog post on Wednesday. Then Sue of Cookies Chronicles asked me to help her out with Best of the Blogosphere yesterday.....and now today is TGIF!

Oh, and let's not forget the UPrinting giveway, which, by the way, now has a winner!

The 9th comment was from
Louise Ducote!

Then, the other night, I decided to change my blog's color scheme! Which some of you have said you really like and I thank you for that. I have been thinking about going black and white for awhile now. Then I started using that black and white photo as my avatar and I realized it must be meant to be. I even found a simple but cute roller coaster clip art image and created myself a new header, but wouldn't ya know it? Blogger is giving me a hard time about uploading it.

Why does Blogger hate me lately?

Next, I'm super excited about this Mother's Day blogCard link-up I thought of and I really hope some of you might like to play along. I thought it would be cool to use our blogs to write our own personal Mother's Day card(s). Whether or not the recipient(s) will ever see it, you know you wrote it. We can write to/about our moms, step-moms, grandmas, aunts or mom friends. We can write about what being a mom means to us. Anything MOM will do!

My "Mother's Day blogCard" linky will run from Tuesday, 5/8 through Mother's Day on the 13th. And I think there just might be a little prize in it for one randomly selected linker. I'm just sayin'.

Besides bloggy sruff, I am VERY happy that Mark's defibrillator surgery yesterday went well! Do you know they tested it out by purposely inducing arrhythmia and letting it shock him? Luckily the arrhythmia causes one to pass out, so Mark doesn't remember being shocked, otherwise they would have had a pretty pissed off guy on their hands!

Here's kind of what it looks like:

Mark's is positioned on the other side though.
Pretty cool, right? I told him he's on his way to becoming a robot.

If you've got some HAPPY you'd like to share,
grab my butt-- er, the button and link up below!
