*pats self on back
I am a brand new - baby, if you will - at crocheting. All I know how to do is make a slip knot on the hook, chain, single crochet, increase, decrease and stop.
I can change colors and decrease too, but I honestly don't know if I'm doing it correctly. I just kind of did what seemed logical to me from what I know of knitting.
Anyway, I have a half bath in which the decor has evolved quite organically. It began with a few similar looking birthday gifts I was given just before escrow closed on our house. The colors worked out to be brown and cream, with some burgundy thrown in.
I thought a nice and easy first crochet project would be a flat piece of fabric to place atop the toilet tank. I did that.....buuuuut....it got a little curvy. So obviously I wanted to try again.
And then I decided I should make a matching button-top hand towel. I like button-top hand towels because then my family members can pull it down and leave it on the counter. Ahem.
And into the bathroom we go....

Basically, if you know how to crochet, I'm sure you could duplicate what I did if you wanted to. :-)
I'm just happy with myself for making something nice looking!

You did a great job! I really like the colors and the towel looks nice.
