I live in Western Washington and there's this cool thing put on every year by one of our local TV stations called The Best of Western Washington.
There are categories like:
- Arts and Entertainment
- Auto
- Beauty
- Cheap Eats
- Fashion
- Health and Fitness
- People
- Pets
- Shopping
Now I know parenting is only one of my blog topics, but it was the best category fit for me. Besides, I think the things I post about parenting aren't too shabby....
So, the reason I'm telling you all this is to
I am currently 16th out of 36 blogs. I'd love just to finish in the top 10.
Over there at the top of my sidebar is where you can click to cast your vote (voting ends October 12). I think you'll have to register (or sign in with Twitter or Facebook), but I don't think it should hurt too much. I also think it's fine if you don't live around these parts considering this is a blog...which is online....which anybody, anywhere can access.
That's my logic, and I'm stickin' to it!

I also have a little announcement: Next Friday is the last of the month which means it's happy TGIF time. I'd like to do something just a little different for this one.
I've been thinking about (and writing down) my quirks. You know, those things that are unique to you, little things you do or like a certain way.....
Such as where you prefer to sit on the couch, in what order or pattern you eat the items on your plate, no ice or lots of ice in your soft drinks....stuff like that.
Next Friday can totally still be happy, but I'd like to put a QUIRKY twist on it.
Well, that's what I'll be doing for TGIF this month. And it sure would be nice if you didn't leave me all vulnerable putting my weird little oddities out there. Put yours out there too!
